Metro 48

The Metro family of roll up banner stands have a compact shape and sturdy construction. Available in a silver or black finish, this reliable retractable banner stand has heavy gauge aluminum construction with stylish polished chrome end caps and swing out feet.

Also called pull up banner stands, this style of banner display features a spring loaded roller that holds the banner under tension, and rolls it safely into the base for storage between uses. The Metro has a standard plastic leader that attaches to the bottom of the banner with adhesive, and a snap style top rail that clamps on to the banner for a secure connection. Available in 4 different widths, the Metro comes complete with a padded travel bag with a carry handle and has a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

One of the advantages of a compact style retractable banner stand is that they take up less room when packed and tend to weigh less as well. This makes them less expensive to ship, especially when shipping multiple stands. However, they do take more floor space because of the swing out foot that is needed for stability.

The Metro 48 displays a banner with a visible size of 47.25" x 79".

Looking for a higher-end model?

An upgrade from the Metro 48 in the same size and compact style would the Expand MediaScreen XL 47, but it's a big step up in both quality and price and doesn't have a black finish option. Another option would be changing to wider base retractable banner stand model, in which case the QuickSilver 48 will display the same width banner as the Metro 48 but with many additional features. Wider base retractable banner stands are more stable and take up less floor space, but tend to be heavier and larger so they can be more expensive to ship when there are multiple stands. The QuickSilver has adjustable height from 35" to 96" tall, adjustable tension, easier banner changes, and a nicer travel bag, but the QuickSilver is not available in black.

The Budget Roll Up 48 would be the next step down in price in the same size, although it's not available in black.
