Wind Dancer Flag Stand

The Wind Dancer flag stand is a portable banner and flag pole display with adjustable height pole and hollow base that can be filled with water or sand for weight. While designed as an outdoor flag and banner display, the Wind Dancer is also popular at indoor events and trade shows where the extra tall height allows the graphics to be seen over top of the competition.

The base of the Wind Dancer comes in 4 sections that connect together, and each section can be weighted with water or sand. A telescopic aluminum support pole is attached to the base, and it adjusts up to 17' tall. A pivoting cross bar attaches to the top of the pole to support the banner via grommets along the top edge of the banner. Grommets down one side of the banner attach to the support poles to keep the banner or flag hanging straight for maximum visibility. Because this design allows the flag to pivot around the center support pole as the wind changes direction, the wind resistance is minimized and the display is able to stay stable in winds up to 18-24 mph.

Banner options for the Wind Dancer include a single sided fabric flag that can still be read from both sides since the printing shows through to the back side, but any type or logos will be reversed on the back. Double sided fabric and vinyl banners are also available where the print reads correctly from both sides.

The fabric banners are excellent for indoor use, or short term outdoor use, since they are printed using dye sublimation. The dye sublimation printing process produces vibrant color that becomes part of the fabric so it can't be scratched or washed off, but the down side is that dye inks do not have good fade resistance and have a prorated 3 month warranty against fading. Since this type of display is generally not left outdoors for long periods of time, the flags can last a long time, as the fading is caused by the amount of time they spend in the sun. For long term outdoor use, we recommend one of the vinyl banner options, as they are fade resistant for 2-3 years.

NOTE: Outdoor banner stands that have a water filled base can freeze in very cold weather and damage the base, so antifreeze can be added to the water to prevent this, or sand can be used instead of water to avoid this problem.
